| The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), one of the greatest environmental foundations across Europe, is supporting a research project towards sustainable disinfection.
Chemical Leasing is a new viewpoint in chemical politics. It focuses on the value and function of chemical products and not on maximum sales quantity anymore. Schülke & Mayr wants to assign this sustainable invention to the use of disinfectants in the hospital sector.
Disinfectants in hospitals are absolutely essential to ensure the client’s and staff’s safety towards infections. Nevertheless, disinfectants are able to provide undesirable effects particularly if they’re incorrectly used. Common goal of the research project which will be running for 2 years is an enlargement of the standard of hygiene, combined with an economical, environmental and safety-relevant improvement.
Project partners beside Schülke & Mayr GmbH are:
- OPAL GmbH (hygiene consultancy)
- Klinikum Worms (hospital)
- Universitätsklinikum Freiburg (Department of Environmental Health Sciences)
Reference person for project-related questions is:
Dr. Michael Streek
